From my childhood on I have always been fascinated to create images. In 2004 I began to study animation at the Utrecht School of the Arts. There I worked on two short films City of Lights and Tears/De Breuklijn. These were screened at more than 50 film festivals all over the world. After finishing the study in 2008 I worked for 4 years at many freelance jobs creating animations for documentaries and short films.
Then in 2013 I began my journey in the particle realm. First I began simulating abstract forms. After a while I developed a way to create nebula structures in 3D using only mathematics and physics.
Developing these nebulae began with looking at Hubble images as an artist. Always answering the question, how would I create this in 3D. I began the research by dissecting the nebula form as a whole, while learning about the supernova process. Combining these I began to develop multiple techniques to create these cosmic formations.
From 2017 I worked on several planetarium shows, tv shows (Star Trek Discovery, The Orville and Maniac) games, commercials and visuals for music artists.
